Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for January – Plano, TX

Sales down. Prices up. Inventor down!

Sales were off by 5% compared to last January. Pending sales took at 41% decline. The average sales price increased 21% while the median sales price  increased a whopping 59% as a shortage of inventory pushes prices upwards. Speaking of inventory, new listings fell by 35%. Active listings were down 51% compared to last year. The months of inventory  now stands at 0.2 months. 6 months is considered a balance market. we have a log way to go to get there.

Pending Sales: 172

New listings: 159

Active Listings: 50
