Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for December – Garland TX
Buyers were finding homes in December. Home sales climbed 10% and pending sales rose 2%. The average sales price showed a 3% increase while the median sales price was slightly higher with a 5% rise. When the median sales price increases more the the average it means that there were more sales in the upper price ranges than normal. New listings climbed 7% but the active listings dropped 5%. This caused a decline in the months of inventory to 1.6 months. Buyers are going to have a hard time!
