Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for May – Allen TX

Things did not go well for home sales in Allen during May Sales fell 14%. OUCH! The average sales price declined 1% and the median sales price was flat. Pending sales didn’t look good down 15%. There was a 17% increase in new listings and a 29% rise in the number of active listings. The months of inventory shot up to 2.7 months. 6 months is normally considered a balanced market so we are still in a sellers market but a couple of more months like May could change that quickly.
