Want To Know More About Fairview, Texas?

Tucked away in Collin County, just north of Dallas, you’ll find the charming and unique town of Fairview, Texas. It’s the kind of place that feels like a country escape while still having all the perks of a big city right around the corner.

History of a “Town” 🤠

Fairview’s story begins back in the late 1800s, rooted in the rolling countryside that gave it its name—the “fair view.” The arrival of the Houston & Texas Central Railroad in 1872 played a big part in its early development, helping farmers transport their goods. The community remained a quiet, rural area for decades. In 1958, residents of two small communities, Fairview and Wetsel, came together to vote on incorporation. The “Corporation” side won by a landslide, with 48 out of 50 votes, and the Town of Fairview was officially born. Even today, they prefer to be called a “town” rather than a “city,” which really speaks to their goal of maintaining a tight-knit community feel.
