Richardson, located in both Dallas and Collin counties, is a thriving, dynamic, master-planned community of approximately 115,000 residents. The city borders the larger cities of Dallas and Plano. Richardson is the location for a growing number of well-known companies. Because more than half of its residents have moved to Richardson from another part of the country, the city has an air of cosmopolitan sophistication not often found in a community its size. Richardson is home to several Dallas Area Rapid Transit light-rail stations. The city is also the site of the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and and the adjacent Galatyn Park urban center. Richardson is often referred to as the “Telecom Corridor of the Southwest.” It recently was named the 15th best place to live in the United States by MONEY magazine.
