Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for January – McKinney, TX

Sales up. Prices up.

Single family home sales jumped 12% in January compared to last January. Pending Sales however, fell 23%. Not good for a positive sales number in February. The average sales price rose 14% while the median sales price climbed by 20% as buyers had to move into higher price ranged to find that dream home. New listings were ho help to the supply shortage off by 40%. The number of active listings dropped by 63% taking the months of inventory down to 0.2 months.
