Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for August – Carrollton/Farmers Branch

Positive sales and higher prices!

Single Family home sales rose 8% in August compared to last August.Pending sales were also up 8%. The average sales price increased 16% and the median sales price was up 15%. There was a small increase in the number of new listings rising 4%, but that was not enough to keep up with the increase in sales and pending sales. The number of active listings fell 31% and the months of inventory declined to 0.7 months. 6 months is considered a balanced market.

Active Listings: 117

Months of Inventory: 0.7 months
