Sales strong and inventory down

Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for December – Far North Dallas

Home sales climber 29% as compared to last December. Pending sales rose 25% so we can anticipate a good sales number in January. The average sales price increased 11% and the median sales price climbed 5%. New listings were 6% higher but with all the sales the number of active listings declined by 44% taking the months of inventory down to 1.1 month. Supply will continue to be a problem for buyers going forward.
