Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for August – Allen TX
Sales of single-family homes rose17% as compared to last year. Pending sales jumped 39% so we can anticipate September will be a positive months. The average sales price climbed 8% while the median sales price was up 6%. Now for the bad news if you are a buyer. New listings came in flat and with all the sales the active listings declined by 59% taking the months of inventory down to 1.1 months. Buyers will have a hard time finding that dream home with this low level of supply and will face stiff competition from other buyers when they do.
