Buyers were snapping up homes in Richardson in August

Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for August – Richardson TX

Home sales rose 17% as compared to last August. Pending sales came in with an increase of 12% so we can look forward to a positive September. The average sales price  increased 10% while the median sales price was up 7%. New listings eked out a 1% gain but with all the sales taking properties out of the market active listings declined by 46%. The months of inventory is now at 1.2 months. Buyers will have a had time finding that dream home due to this low inventory and when thy do, expect a lot of competition for other buyers.
