Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for May – Condos and Townhomes

The condo and townhome market was just as effected as single-family home in May with sales down 39%. One must remember that these sales were contracted for in March and April and that buyers did return to the market in May with pending sales up 13%. Shortest recession in history! The average sales price did fall 3% while the median sales price declined 8%. We did and active listings see a 3% increase in the number of new listings and active listings were flat. That’s much better that the single-family market did.
