Dallas Area Residential Sale Report for May – McKinney, TX
McKinney home sales were hit hard by the COVID-19 virus down 36%. You should remember that these sales were contacted for in March and April during the height of the lock down. Buyers did return to the market in May but not a strong as in other areas. Pending sales came in down 6%. The average sales price fell 2% and the median sales price was flat. Kind of a wash. Real damage was done on the listings side whit new listings dropping 17% and active listings cratering 46%. The months of inventory now stands at 2 months. Buyers in the McKinney area will have a hard time finding that dream home.
