Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for March – Garland, TX

We will not start to have good information about the effect of the COVID-19 virus on home sales until we see the April numbers.

Home sales were off by 8% in the Garland area compared to last March. The average sales price was up 8% while the median sales price rose 6%. New listings dropped 29%. Active listings fell 7% taking the months of inventory down to 1.4 months. This is one of the lowest numbers in the area and means that buyers will find few choices whrn looking for that dream home.  If you are a buyer, you are going to need an agent that can get you in the best properties as soon as they hit the market.

Pending sales offer us a window into the next months sales and in the case of Garland pending sales fell 12% which is actually not to bad when compared to other areas.
