Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for October – Richardson TX

Home sales fell 8% as compared to last October but it doesn’t look like anything to worry about because the pending sales number came in with a 12% increase. The average sales price rose 5% and the median sales price increased 1%. We saw a good 18% rise in the number of new listings and a 23% climb in the active listings. The months of inventory is now at 2.4 months. That’s really not much help if you are a buyer. A balanced market is considered to be 6 months. We are still a long way from that number.
