Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for August – Allen, TX

Home buyers were out in full force in the Allen market in August. Sales were up 16% compared to last August. Pending sales also show a nice 12% increase. The average sales price did fall 1% but the median sales price rose 7%. The bad news was in the inventory. New listings declined 16% and the number of active listings dropped 20%.  These declines caused the months of inventory to decrees to 2.8 months. This makes it harder for buyers to find a home that fits there lifestyle.
