Dallas Area Residential Sales Report for August – Garland TX

Home sales were down 3% in August as compared to last year at this time. Pending sales really took a hit falling 18%. Not good news for September sales. The average sales price climbed 3% and the median sales price rose 5%. More sales in the upper price ranges. New listings fell 2%. buyers will have less to choose from. The active sales number rose 23%. while that looks like a big rise, you have to remember that inventory levels were very low last august. The months of inventory now stands at 2.1 months. That’s one of the lowest numbers in the Dallas Area.
