Plano, TX Residential Sales Report for December

Buyers were out in full force in December!

Single-Family:

Sales jumped 20% in December as compared to a year ago. The average sales price increased by 8% while the median rose by 14%. We continue to see the sales concentrated in the higher price ranges mainly due to the extreme shortage of properties for sale under $200,000. Pending sales climber by 25% so we can anticipate than January sales will be good. The number of new listings rose 25% and the active listings were up by 20%. While the increase in the active listings is good news, this increase only brought the months of inventory up to 1 month. The supply is still very short and it’s very difficult for buyers to find a good property.
